Annuals Are Grown In The Baker's Acres Greenhouse!

We grow our annuals in bedding flats, 4.5" containers, quarts, 6" and 8" pots, 10" and 12" hanging baskets, and 14"-20" hanging gardens. Our production includes 5000 bedding flats in hundreds of varieties and over 25,000 4.5" pots of annuals. Our varieties include the best of Proven Winners, Simply Beautiful, and S&G Flowers. 6" containers are filled with zonal geraniums, Angelonia, Wave Petunias, pentas, Rudbeckia, Lilies, and Angel Wing Begonias. 8" containers are for nice zonal geraniums and mixed combo containers.

As the largest grower of Geraniums in Northeast Indiana, we devote our quart containers to these plants. Our selection includes: Americana and Rocky Mountain Zonal Geraniums; Blizzard, Holiday, and Free Style Ivy Geraniums; and varieties of dark red, bright red, red, lt. pink splash, rose splash, deep rose, lavender, pink, cherry rose, coral, salmon, violet, white, orange, mosiac red, mosiac purple, and 5 novelty varieties.

Perennials Are Grown In The Baker's Acres Greenhouse.

Hundreds of varieties of perennials are grown in 4.5" and 1 gallon containers in Baker's Acres Greenhouse. We force 1 gallon containers for early spring color, in order to lenghten your color season.

Roses - Baker's Acres will offer the complete 'Ultimate Rose Collection' from Jackson and Perkins. These are Independent Garden Center Exclusives, and includes the rose of the Year - April in Paris. Shrub Roses are ever increasing in popularity because of their continuous flowering habit, disease resistance, and winter hardiness.We offer the 'Easy Elegance' line in red, deep yellow, pink, and pink-yellow mix as well as the Pink Knockout (to accompany Red Knockout) which boasts an orangy-pink color blend. Climbing roses and ground cover roses are grown at Baker's Acres to round out our rose selection.

Seasonal perennials are grown in our greenhouse. As a grower of Hardy Mums, we find that they really liven up the landscape. We grow poms, daisies, button and spider mums in 6", 2 gallon and 3 gallon pots. At Baker's Acres, we grow our own Poinsettias, from 4"-40" trees (40" plants must be pre-ordered, we don't speculate on these). Our Poinsettia varieties include: red, dark red, oink, marble, burgandy, white, red/white mix, and winter rose. Order Poinsettias for delivery to clients, employees, friends and neighbors. We will take care of all the work for you!

Hanging Baskets & Hanging Gardens...

10" hanging baskets are one of our most popular products. Our baskets leave the greenhouse ready to brighten up your porch, deck, or landscape. You won't have to wait for them to fill out like ones from national retailers. We have hundreds of varieties and combinations from which to choose.

12" Hanging Baskets are filled with lots of color combinations, as well as plants needing the same light requirements. Begonias and Wave Petunias are also very popular.

14", 16", and 20" Hanging Gardens - The sky's the limit when Chris Baker designs these containers. These unique and different combinations are available in sun, shade, and those areas in-between.

Baker's Acres is the largest grower of combination containers in Northeast Indiana. We start with 8" and 10" containers planted with annuals. After that, we work up the scale with 12", 14", 16", 20" and custom containers planted with assortments of annuals, perennials, vines, and anything else that fits your needs.

Baker's Acres Provides A Wide Variety of Greenhouse Services In Addition To Plants and Flowers We Grow!

Re-Potting Service: We provide our repotting service year-round. This is helpful for those overgrown office and sunroom plants that could use a little attention.

You can also use our facilities to plant your own. Both locations have a potting bench equiped with soil, containers, fertilizer, soil ammendments, and of course, all the plants you need to do it yourself. Leave the mess at our place and take home your own beautiful creation. We are also available for assistance at anytime

Custom Container Designs / Plantings: You may bring in your empty containers for us to design. We can do them as a 'fresh plant' (2-3 days), or you may bring them in between fall and early spring, and we'll store them and have them in full color to pick-up as your schedule allows in the spring. Just let us know what your color preferences are and whether they need to be sun or shade plants.
